One of my favorite things about Driving Shoes has been identifying the nano-obsessed, chic pieces worn by the fabulous women I follow online. Throughout this process, I’ve discovered some incredible small brands (often woman-owned) and wanted to give them the spotlight they deserve, especially since I’ve become a customer myself.
Starting with with Marcella NYC, a brand that provides a solution for fashion’s good-fast-cheap triangle factors: affordability, quality, and ethics. It’s a trifecta we chase but rarely find all three at once… and that’s not even factoring in good design.
Steadfast in their sustainability practices, they operate on a “just-in-time” production method, source eco-friendly high-quality fabrics, and ensure the team receives “truly living wages and generous benefits.” Plus, since the designs lean towards a minimalist and season-less aesthetic, the clothing will establish itself as a longterm closet staple.
The brand prides itself on its commitment to “advancing women & girls through ethics, sustainability and impact”, actualized through its partnership with global NGO CAMFED “to support girls in Sub-Saharan Africa to go to school, learn, thrive, and lead” (check out more on this here).
Having championed their ethical practices (which is about reason enough to shop), I can confirm that, after receiving my delivery, the quality, design, and price point holds up. I first discovered the brand through the Cabrini top, a structured European ponte bodice crowned by a soft mesh, which can be worn as a high neck silhouette or draped off the shoulder. At $75 USD, the brand is probably going to become a staple support for my 'office-appropriate but convertible for date night' approach to dressing.

The second piece I bought was the Eliana Top, reminding me of a coveted Toteme style I’ve been eyeing, but at a significantly more accessible price point of $78 vs Toteme’s $590.
The silhouette is sooo elegant. I’m looking forward to pairing this with my
Golden Collar Necklace and Bezel Oval Charm from 002 Chic Girls, dressed up in the evening with black trousers and a pointed-toe heel, or casually during the day with denim and heeled sandals. The material on both tops is thick, stretchy, and soft. I’m usually a medium in stretchier styles, but not wanting to risk it—especially since these aren’t cropped—I sized up in my order for a large. I ended up not needing the extra fabric and will be exchanging for a size down, which I recommend.
I’m dropping a few more of my favorites and would-buy’s from Marcella below, hope you love them, too. Make sure to take advantage of their offer for $15 off your first order of $100+ with code YOUR15.
