I have been putting off posting a glowing review of the Sofie Pavit Mandelic Acid serum for months now because it will literally just be a series of cringe cliches strung together — it is literally the only product that has totally cleared my very sensitive, acne-prone skin and given me an incredible glow. (Yes, I’ve tried dozens of Sephora, drug store, and prescription products, including being on accutane.) It’s truly amazing and life changing but I hate that I will be forced to write the review I absolutely hate reading for other products. 100/10 would recommend.
Another Claire with another emphatic recommendation for the serum and all Sofie Pavitt products. I have a subscription to the face wash! They’re perfect.
I just received a sample of this; how long did it take for you to notice a difference and what made it stand out to you? I have a similar skin type and would lovev to know!
I think I noticed after a ~day that my skin was glowier, and after a week or so that my general skin texture was better and that I didn’t have any new acne forming. I don’t think it really occurred to me that it was actually amazing until like 6 weeks or so had passed, and I was like “wow I haven’t had *any* pimples for the last month and a half — that’s really weird” and then it finally clicked that it was definitely this product, as it was the only new addition to my routine.
I've tried layering it, but it still didn't feel great and the color got patchy. I also tried the Bisou Jelly because that was supposed to be more moisturizing, it has a core of color in the middle, surrounded by a clear jelly-- the color didn't distribute evenly, and I can't remember how the lip-feel was, but I forgot about it in a bag that I didn't use for a few months and when I found it last week the jelly had dried out and shrunk away from the core color, so I tossed it. I just ordered the lip nectar that just launched... hopefully third time is the charm? I do like the Violette blushes, they are the only thing I've tried from Violette that have made it in to my regular rotation.
If you aren't looking for a matte lip color, I highly recommend the Versed tinted lip serum-- it is inexpensive, but the packaging feels solid and it is moisturizing, a tiny bit plumping and it gets complements every time I swipe it on (no mirror needed).
brb adding this all to my cart.. but the hair towel has definitely piqued my interest! Something I never would have conisdered unless I came across this post
The Westman Atelier mascara is great! It is the only new mascara I've loved in years. I wish it were less expensive. I also endorse their brown eyeliner clean kohl pencil. Neither the pencil nor the mascara smears at all on me throughout the day, and I'm prone to giving myself raccoon eyes.
No, that's funny because they sent me samples of the blush, highlighter, and contour, and I also can't use the contour! I like the Petal blush, which surprised me since I am still an old-school powder blush user. I'll try the contour again. But you aren't alone!
the roz shampoo and conditioner made my hair so soft! scent’s more floral than I’d like but not overwhelming—try them !!
find crown affair’s leave-in conditioner more versatile than this milk serum, felt like I had to wash my hair the next day if I used this at night and I don’t have thin hair

Definitely try the Bisou Balm before you buy-- I find it to be uncomfortably dry on my lips.
!!! GOOD TO KNOW. Did you layer it with a balm or does that alter the finish too much?
